Thomas Korn Jr.

Mr. Thomas Korn, (Tom), of Mesa, AZ, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015 at the age of 89. Tom was born to parents Thomas and Alma Korn on July 29, 1925, in Grand Island, NE. He grew up as the second oldest child of six and served in the US Army Air Corp during World War II from October, 1942 to November, 1945. Tom owned and operated several small businesses and later retired from the gas and oil industry. Tom married Betty Fetters of Grand Island in 1942 and the couple had three children. In 1971, Tom wed Doris Schwartz. Tom is survived by his daughters Linda (Don) Paisley and Pamela (Dennis) Jones, sisters Donna Billington, Shirley Bottorf and Coleen (George) Holder, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lawrence Korn, sister Mary Lou Mudd and a son Lonnie Korn. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tom’s life at Christian Care Center, 118 S. 70th St. Mesa, AZ 85208 on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 3:00pm.
