On August 6th 2012, A day I will never forget. An angel left this place and took a piece of my heart with her. In all the years I have been alive I never had to witness something so heart breaking. I felt something I never felt before visiting my cousin Valerie the day she perished. I am at peace with her leaving our family, knowing she is free with our lord himself. Valerie was a true blessing. She was the strongest link in our family chain. You will be missed dearly. My heart goes out to the Melendi family and to my Aunt Carol one of the strongest women I know. I love you.
