Walter L. Chase

Walter was born on December 3, 1920 in Paw Paw, Michigan to Harry and Bessie Chase. He grew up and lived in Paw Paw until moving to Arizona in 1998 to live with his son.

Walter was a self-employed carpenter and loved working with wood and creating beautiful things.

Walter married Beverly E. Lounsberry on April 11, 1946. Beverly was his one and only sweetheart.

He is survived by his wonderful wife of 65 years, Beverly; one son, Ronald L. Chase and his wife Peggy (Young); two grandsons, Michael L. Chase and his wife Michelle (Doris), Justin N. Chase and his wife Sally (Maley); and five great-grandchildren, Tanner, Emma, Logan, Conner, and Asher Chase all of Gilbert, AZ.

Walter will be remembered for his quiet smile, his wood creations, his love of aviation, and the love he gave to his family.

A celebration of his life will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 12, 2011 at Mariposa Gardens Chapel 6747 E. Broadway Rd. Mesa, AZ.
