

Webster Bradford Mounia, Jr., known extensively as “Dan” and “Webb” peacefully passed away at his Mesa, Arizona home on Thursday, January 18, 2018. Born on December 27, 1946 in Gary, Indiana, Webster is the oldest son of ten siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents, Webster Sr. and Bernice (Johnson) Mounia; and sister, Edrina. After graduating from Gary’s Theodore Roosevelt High School on Friday May 28, 1965, he began working Monday, May 31st at Inland Steel from which he ultimately retired from. Webster had a huge personality and a generous heart to match. He enjoyed water volleyball, throwing darts, classic R&B music, poker, bid whist, an occasional jaunt to a local casino and launching his or a friend’s boat into a beautiful Arizona lake to go fishing. He leaves to mourn, wife Joyce Mounia; three daughters, Serlena Paciorek (Scott) of Avon, Indiana, Quiana Tyson (Timothy Cole) of Mesa, Arizona, Latanya Blacknell (Lejon) of Fort Worth, Texas; two sons, Terrance Taylor (Donna) of Fort Worth, Texas, Donte’ Ozier (Nicole) of Wilson, North Carolina; special grandson, Timothy Paciorek, nine other grandchildren; six sisters, Juanita Connell, Priscella Wilson (Richard), Berthola Mounia all from Gary, Indiana, Nykula Gilliam of Cedar Hill, Texas, Michele Hardy (Randolph) of Stafford, Virginia, Latonda Finch (Daryl) of Indianapolis, Indiana, two brothers; Ross Mounia (Elaine) of East Chicago, Indiana, Rhulette Mounia (Dorothy) of Chandler, Arizona; special friends “Big” John Williams, Robert Lord, Jerry McCollum, Haseem Abdur-Raheem and legions of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
