The Jones family will forever be near and dear to the community of Dixon, MT, where they owned and operated the only store in town during the 70's. The Jones's were hard working people and well received into our small community. I was closer to Wendy's age but we all went to school together for several years. I believe I was a grade behind Wendy in Junior High and Al was in High School. I always remember him to be well-liked amongst his friends and he mostly hung out with Johnny Hernandez and Larry Pitts, but I recall Doug King and Mitch Siroky sometimes being a part of their group. Al was althletic and very muscular. I specifically remember him excelling in track, but I know he participated in other sports as well. He was a good brother to Wendy, protecting when necessary, but also menacing (LOL). I remember many a times hearing Wendy call out for her Mom because Al was teasing her, but how else would she know he loved her right? In my book of life I'm very happy to have a chapter titled "When the Jones's came to town", and I will forver cherish these memories. I don't know Al's family and only have pictures of Wendy's, but please feel comfort in knowing that Al was a good person in the memories of many. May God be with you all in this very difficult time. Be strong Wendy and give your Mom a hug for me.

Love you,

The Jones family came into our lives in the fall of 1996. Our first impression of Wendel was a man with gentle spirit, love and care for his family, and a dedication to provide his son, Dylan, a bright future. We remember Wendel as an enthusiastic reader, a man of few words, insightful thoughts about education, technology, and everyday living. We will not forget Wendel as he has left to all of us his most precious legacy, Dylan, whom will perpetuate his Dad's kind heart for years to come. Dear Luli and Dylan, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Wendel, you were always so very dear to me because you are Wendy's brother. I remember how much you and your lovely wife, Luli comforted me when Wendy left for Japan to stay with your parents for a while. You lived a life of honor as a wonderful friend, brother, husband, and father. Rest in peace, Mr. Jones. Please tell your father I said "Hello."

We had a wonderful childhood together, spending summers at grandma and grandpa's farm riding motorcycles and shooting pheasant on Christmas morning. We had fun skiing on weekends when he was stationed on Governor's Island in New York. My best summer memories and times were spent with El, Wendy, Kari, mom, Noriko, Uncle Wendel and grandma and grandpa. Rest in Peace cousin. ...Dave Knutson & family
