

Wilbur "Mike" Robson of Mesa, Arizona went to his eternal home on September 14, 2012. He was born July 19, 1926 in Kewanee, Illinois, the only child of Wilbur Lee and Ruth Ellen Hartshorn Robson. He attended King elementary country school in Burns Twp. and was a 1944 graduate of Cambridge High School.
On April 12, 1951, he and Janet Louise Anderson were married at the home of her grandparents in Bishop Hill, Illinois. They were the parents of three children, Gail Anne, Linda Lee, and William Michael.
Mike served in the Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1953 and then returned to farming. He was involved in farming for 62 years, retiring in 1982. He and his wife made several RV trips to Arizona and decided to make their home in Mesa, AZ.
He was a Past Master of Cambridge Lodge #49 AF&AM, a Past Patrom of Mystic Chapter #160 OES, and a member of State Road Community Church. He loved sports and played softball and had played on several softball teams.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Gail (Richard) Tonsberg of Charlotte, NC, Linda (Dan) Heinz of Chandler, AZ and a son, William (Kelli) Robson of Gilbert, AZ, 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for Mike will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 11:00 am at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park, 6747 East Broadway Road, Mesa, Arizona 85206.
