William B. Borea, 71, of Mesa, Arizona, entered into rest on Oct. 5, 2016, to join our family of Angels. He was raised in Jersey City, NJ,. He graduated from Teaneck High School, Teaneck, NJ, in 1962, and from Morris Harvey College, in Charleston, West Virginia with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Math and Physics in 1967. He joined the United States Air Force in 1967 and was medically discharged in 1978. He married his loving wife Paula J. Borea (Milian) on Jan. 6, 1970, in Litchfield Park, AZ, and they were married for 47 years. His parents John and Matilda Borea preceded him in death. In addition to his wife Paula, he is survived by his two children, William P. Borea and his wife Karen, and by Julie Borea Williams and her husband Chad; his 4 grandchildren Felicia Johnson, Dante Borea, Marissa Johnson, and Giovanni Borea; his two sisters, Susan Borea, and Matilde Beam and husband Bob; his nephew John Borea; and the rest of his cousins and friends. William received his Eagle Scout at the age of 15, and was a scout leader most of his adult life. He received his 3rd Degree Black Belt in Karate, was a Sensei and loved to teach martial arts. Mr. Borea dedicated his life to the service of others, especially his grandchildren and family. A celebration of life will be held 2:00 PM, Oct. 22, 2016, at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Road, @ Power Road.
