Bill was a proud veteran who honorably served in the United States Army. He will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, sense of humor, and the deep love he had for his family and friends.
Bill was a talented machinist who dedicated most of his career to his trade and had been with his current employer for 25 years. Outside of work, Bill had a true passion for fixing up old cars and could often be found repairing, rebuilding, and working on them whenever he had the chance.
He was also a devoted fan of the New York Yankees, the New York Giants, and sports in general, and there was almost always a game playing at his house. Anyone who knew Bill — or “Billy” to his friends — knew his door was always open. Friends and family could stop by anytime to talk about sports, cars, or life, and they would always be welcomed with open arms. Bill loved cooking outdoors and was happiest gathered around one of his many grills or smokers, preparing barbecue for the people he loved. He was the kind of man who would give you not only the shirt off his back, but the shoes off his feet if you needed them.
Bill is survived by his loving partner of more than 25 years, Camille Porrazzo; her children, Nicole Kiefer, Danielle Porrazzo, and Anthony Porrazzo and his wife Kylee Porrazzo; and his cherished grandchildren, Jaelyn and Dylan Kiefer, and Olivia, Wynn, and Cam Porrazzo. Those who knew Bill also knew the love he had for Penny, his small Yorkie who was almost always found curled up in his lap and kissing his face.
He is also survived by his brother, Bruce Brooks; his sisters, Kathy Bellucci and her husband Billy Bellucci, and Marie Curran and her husband Timothy; and his brother-in-law, Gary Grasso. He is further survived by his nephews, Gary and Jason Grasso and his wife Jacqueline, Chris and Steve Bellucci, and Tim Curran; his nieces, Brianna Bellucci and Courtney Myers and her husband Trent; along with many great-nieces and great-nephews who loved him dearly.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William, and Adeline Brooks; his sister, Deborah Grasso; his sister-in-law, Roseann Brooks; his nieces, Danielle, Melissa, and Jennifer Brooks; and his nephew, Bruce Brooks Jr.
Bill leaves behind many loving memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved him. His presence, kindness, and unwavering love for his family and friends will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
