William Ramsey Chism Jr.

William Ramsey Chism Jr. passed away on August 10, 2012 in Mesa, Arizona. Born in Evansville, Indiana to William Ramsey and Katherine Mae (nee Harris) Chism, William arrived on March 11, 1934. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1952, and proudly served his country. William was a lifetime member of the VFW. William married the love of his life, Kathleen, in Evansville, Indiana on April 17, 1975. Together they shared many wonderful years. William is survived by his wife, Kathleen of Mesa, Arizona, children Tina L. (Terry) Hulett of Austin, Texas, William Michael (Liza) Chism of San Antonio, Texas, Steven Anthony (Jeanine) Chism of Puyallup, Washington, and Jeff (Amy) Iannucci of Gilbert, Arizona, 17 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Light in the Desert Southern Baptist Church 7930 E. Baseline Road Mesa, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley in William’s name.
