

William B Howell passed away, July 22, 2012 in Mesa, Arizona. Born in Idlewild, Tennessee to Johnie and Lillian (nee Butler) Howell, William arrived on March 31, 1934. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, earning the rank of Sergeant. He married the love of his life, Marilyn, on May 21, 1955 in Centralia, Illinois. They spent 57 wonderful years making beautiful memories together, two of which are their sons, Barry and William Jr. Loving to be on the water, William was an avid cruiser. His last cruise, this past April, was to the Panama Canal. William was a wonderful man, who had made friends everywhere he went. Being a pharmaceutical representative, traveling frequently was a requirement of the job that William shined at. No one was a stranger. He loved to fish, hunt, and camp. He loved being a part of the Boy Scouts with his sons, even missing his nephews wedding to take them on an outing. Golfing was another past time that William enjoyed. He also appreciated classic cars, of these his blue Plymouth, the DeSoto, and the Ford Thunderbird were his favorites. William is survived by his adoring wife, Marilyn, sons Barry (Connie) Howell, William B (Kimberly) Howell Jr., granddaughter Heather Ann Howell, and grandson Mitchell Howell. He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnie and Lillian Howell. A service will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Memorial Cemetery 2900 Sheridan Road St. Louis, Missouri 63125 on August 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m..
