He worked as a master sushi chef in San Francisco, Tucson and Phoenix for more than 45 years.
He enjoyed very much to cook and serving his cooking to others around him including families with his special cooking.
He was a passionate golf player and enjoyed outdoor traveling, especially the Payson and Rim country areas.
He was the 1st runner-up in the 1998 Phoenix Open by Phoenix Newspapers PRO-AM.
He volunteered as a Judo teacher for some youth groups in Utah.
He was a faithful Christian, and a member of the Japanese Church in the Church of the Cross, in Chandler, Arizona.
Survivors include his wife, Kyung Sook Chon of Scottsdale Arizona.
