Ye Pun married Timothy Daryl Simmons on October 28, 1988.
Ye Pun had a devoted passion for taking care of her husband and their home. She loved her family, lunches with her friends, and going to church. Creative by nature, she enjoyed all types of crafts, including making her own ceramics—sometimes alongside her husband.
With a deep love for others, Ye Pun dedicated time to visiting Korean elderly and visiting orphanages, both in Korea and in every place she and Tim were stationed. Their journey together included Manhattan, Kansas; Munson (Moonson), Korea; Fort Polk, Louisiana; Fort Hood, Texas; Phoenix, Arizona; back to Fort Hood; a second time in Munson, Korea; and then Fort Carson, Colorado; Laredo, Texas; Gold Canyon, Arizona; before finally settling in Queen Creek, Arizona.
Ye Pun was also an amazing gardener; whatever she touched and took care of bloomed beautifully.
Ye Pun is survived by her husband, SFC Timothy D. Simmons; Marie Alanna Howell (mother-in-law); Kimberly Howell Sutphin (sister-in-law); Katrina Johansson (sister-in-law); Joe Howell (brother-in-law); Kimberly Simmons-Mlynski (sister-in-law); Kathy Chong (niece); Zachary Mlynski (nephew); Taylor Mlynski-Davis (niece); and Isla Josephine Davis (great-niece). She was preceded in death by Thomas D. Simmons (father-in-law) and Jean Simmons (mother-in-law).
