Hi Mom.  I miss you still.  Always will.  All the kids are living on their own.  Austin is married and living in your house.  He loves being there taking care of it for you. Mom some days I think I can't go on without you.  How my heart breaks.  I look forward to the day Jesus reunites us. Mother, It's September 14th.  This time last year I still had a few days left with you.  How I miss you.  How I want to talk to you and touch you.  I will never be the same.  I know you're with Jesus and happy, but those left here without you are incomplete with your absence.  I never appreciated you enough.  How I wish I had time to do things over.  I know I will see you again but until then I will always regret not asking you to try one more treatment. You might still be here.  I think I could have convinced you it would be okay to be on dialysis.  But I accepted your wish when you said "no more".  WHY?  Why didn't I try to talk you into one more.  I just let you go.  I will never forgive myself.  You were my life.  My heart is broken and although I carry on, it's only because you told me to.  Not because I want to.  I LOVE you mother.  Forgive me.

Mom 5 months ago today I watched you slip from this temporary earthly home to your new address in Heaven.  I miss you so.  I feel you around me all the time. I see cardinals and I know it's you.  I smell your sweet scent when I walk in a room and now I smile rather than cry.  Mother the life you gave me will not be wasted.  You and Daddy raised me to be a good person and christian.  I'm working on both to honor you two.  I know you're with all those you missed so much and I want you to know it's still okay.  Yes my heart aches but I know I will see you again when it's my time. You were perfect.  So forgiving, sweet and loyal.  I know I'll never be the mother you were but I'll try to measure up to you and the examples you set.  Forgive and Forget were some of your last words.  You have to Forgive to be Forgiven. You said it and I know Jesus was whispering in your ear passing along life lessons we needed to abide by.  I LOVE YOU MOTHER.

Hi mom.  It's February 7, 2015.  Almost 5 months since I've heard your sweet voice.  How I long to be near you and yet somehow I feel you are with me.  Did you put those old ornaments on the tree? We can't explain how they got there.  Did you shine the light on the pillow that has your favorite saying on it "Love you More". Mother I love you so much and miss you so much, words can't begin to describe my pain.  I cannot accept you're gone.  I still hear your laugh and see your gorgeous eyes shining at me.  Why didn't I try to talk you in to one more treatment? I struggle with this everyday. Regrets - I have many. I wish I'd been a better daughter.  We all miss you and look forward to the day the Lord reunites us.  Kiss daddy for me.

Mom it's 2015.  My first year without you. I still can't believe you're not here. I'm in complete denial and pain.  I love you so much and miss you every second of every day. I feel you everywhere.  Sometimes driving down the road or just in the house watching tv I suddenly smell you.  I breathe it in slowly hoping your sweet scent doesn't leave too soon.  Nothing seems as it should be.  Yesterday I thought, I'd better call and check on mom.  The I realized I couldn't. I did the same thing when Daddy left us.  But I had so many more years with you. Alvina was a true christen Lady who always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. she never judged people and was always so friendly, she went out of her way to speak, she is truly missed, my pleasure to know her. loved her so much

Hi Mom.  Well we made it through Christmas.  Our first without you.  I can't express how much I love you and miss you. I will never get over losing you.  Even now tears are rolling down my cheeks here at work. Every day I think of you.  You'd be so proud of how everyone else has tried to move forward like you always said we should.  I wish I could do the same. But everything I did, I did with you. I keep expecting to see you sitting on the sofa when I get home from work . But you're not there.  I look for you in the back seat as we ride to dinner on Friday evenings. But you're not there.  You were my life. The pain I feel never eases. I see you everywhere and in everything I do.  Oh to be with you again. I love you Mother.

We loved Aunt Alvina so much! It was always a joy to see her or to talk to her on the phone.  I will always be grateful for her loving,  giving spirit and her special friendship with Mother.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mamaw Beenie you kept our family together....even when I knew I was not apart you did everything you could to make me feel like I was....I will never forget your words to me at one of my lowest points...."Angel you are my granddaughter and nothing will ever change that"...My heart is shattered in a million different pieces....only thing that makes this easier is knowing you are with Jesus , Papaw Beenie, Mawmaw Horn..and all your other loved ones....we face this world with out your light but always with your love surrounding us...RIP my beautiful grandmother

Mother my life has be disassembled and rearranged since you left.  I promised to keep your four children close but I've come to realize I can't make that happen. I apologize for breaking that promise.  YOU were the one holding us together and I've only realized that now. I pray to see you soon.

Memaw Beanie was a beautiful woman and such a gracious soul.  I loved being part of her extended family and miss her daily.  Only God can continue to help us all heal our pain.

Mother, I miss you so much.  I keep thinking I can pick up the phone and call you then it hits me.  You're not here.  You're there.  In Heaven.  You described it so beautifully in your last days.  I want to see what you saw. I've never known a sweeter more gracious person.  I hope I can be more like you. I love and miss you so much.  Lord help me handle this pain and bring my family together.
