To the Bassinger Family I send my condolences. Anita was a feisty lady with a big heart who spoke to everyone she met. I will miss her morning walks through the neighborhood and that friendly wave.  Rest in peace my friend.

We, her sisters in the Beta Zeta chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, mourn the loss of one of the most giving and gentle souls that we have known and been blessed to have in our little group. Anita was all inclusive, loving and friendly toward everyone. She played no favorites because everyone was a favorite to her! She was quick to offer help and to provide service to her family and to all the friends in her circle. She was a blessing to so many of us and I know that she is being richly rewarded by the Lord himself in heaven at this moment for all her acts of kindness shown to so many.

In education today we have what are called "practical application drills" in which the students receive instruction from the teacher and then are given tasks to express that concept and use that learning in the real world in a practical way. Anita's entire life was a practical application drill in which she took the teachings of Jesus Christ and applied them with love to those around her shown by her constant and loving service. In short, she was the real deal-- a true Christian!

We will miss her more than we can say but we know for certain that she is enjoying a sweet reunion in Heaven with her mother, family, and friends that have gone on before her. And we can know for certain also that she has heard from the Lord himself,  "Well done thou good and faithful servant".

Yes, dear Anita! Well done!

Anita was such a beautiful, kind and loving person, both inside and out.  I always enjoyed the time I was fortunate to spend with her and Willa.  Sending sympathy and condolences to the family.  I am so very sorry for your loss, and hoping the many memories you created and shared will bring you peace and comfort during this difficult time.  May God Bless.

What a beautiful person Anita was and a sweet lady. I  always loved our visits, and laughter . We shared many years and memories together.

Growing up, Anita was my Sunday School friend. We only saw each other once a week, but on Sundays we were buddies. We remained friends the rest of our lives. I didn't see her often, but when I did, I knew I would get an Anita hug. My last one was in the parking lot of a grocery store. Huge smile, big 'Hello' in her unique happy voice, warm hug. Hugs to you my friend. Blessings of peace and love to your family.

Anita was such a joy and uplifting spirit at First United Methodist in Mesquite. You could always depend on that smile, greeting and enthusiastic welcome from her. Her total involvement in the life of our church family will be sorely missed. Anita, rest in God's love, and family, know that your sharing of Anita with us has been a rich blessing.

Members of First Methodist Mesquite are truly sorry to hear of our dear friend Anita's passing.  Anita was so vibrant and loving to  our congregation and a true worker in God's kingdom.  We will miss her "amens" from the pew whenever she agreed with something the pastor said that touched her heart.  I remember her sitting with both her parents every Sunday and how much she missed them when they passed.  She would bring her "comfort dog" to church on occasion and she always brightened the service with her hugs, smiles, and beautiful appearance.  She was a real prayer warrior, especially for me.  I never thought her last hug would be our last just about a month ago.  Anita, you will be sorely missed by your many friends.

Anita was one of a kind! Her smiling face, quick wit and kind heart will be missed. Condolences to her family and friends.
