Aurora Rosales Garza passes away May 28, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 89.

Aurora was born April 29, 1933, in Harlingen, Texas, to Juanita Soto Rosales and Jose Natividad Rosales, who she spoke highly of throughout her life. She and her adoring husband of sixty-six years, Alfredo Garza, met while working at a bakery in their hometown. They moved to Dallas, Texas, in March 1961 and soon began to grow their family.

Aurora was a dedicated mother and had fulfilled her God-given destiny of raising a strong, loving family. She enjoyed tending to her plants, caring for her dogs, baking, and laughing with her family.

Aurora's life will continue to be cherished by her surviving family, including her husband, Alfredo; sons Daniel and Fred Jr.; daughters Suzanne, Martha, and Barbara; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

The Viewing and Service will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetary located at 3900 Rowlett Rd, Rowlett, TX 75088.

Fred, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Aurora. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I know nothing I can say will make things better but I just wanted you to know we are thinking of you and the family in these difficult times.

Meeting you all for your 50th wedding anniversary was a blessing for us all. Juanita really hadn’t seen this side of her family since she was young and we definitely felt loved and welcomed spending time with you all.

My deepest condolences to Tia Aurora s family. Tia Aurora taught me how to bake when I-was a young child. She was the cake decorator for Vannie Tilden. The bakery was well known for its beautiful decorated bridal cakes and Tia Aurora was the decorator. I lived next door to my grandma’s house, so Iwas always around to help. She made me feel special, because she was very particular about who she would let assist her. Tia Aurora introduced me to baking. I still remember all the things she taught me. May she rest in peace Love, Lupita Muniz
