Barbara Nan Gilmer

Barbara Nan Gilmer, age 87, of Tyler, Texas left this earthly home on Thursday, November 4, 2021. Barbara was born January 10, 1934 in Dickens, Texas. She was raised in Abilene, Texas. She went on to enter the banking industry. She fell in love and married her high school sweetheart Don Fain. They had one child together. Barbara was a strong Christian and attended Lakepointe Church White Rock, Dallas, Texas for over 25 years. She was remarried later in life to Arb Gilmer, and was with him until his passing. In her spare time she loved to cook and crochet.

Barbara was preceded in death by her first husband, Don Fain and second husband, Arb Gilmer. She is survived by her son Gary Fain and wife Kathy, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Monday, November 15, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home, 1111 Military Parkway, Mesquite, Texas 75149. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228.
