

Concha Elivira Romero, 95, passed away on April 29, 2026. Born on December 5, 1930, to Manuel and Manuela Jacobo; Concha was raised in El, Paso, TX, and graduated in 1948 from Bowie High School. She later made her home in Mesquite, Texas. Concha was deeply beloved, and her presence remains a lasting gift to all who knew her.
In 1954, Concha married Jaime Romero, and together they welcomed two children. She devoted herself to her family as a homemaker and also worked as a retail associate at El Paso Electric for more than 10 years, bringing steady care and commitment to all she did.
In her spare time, Concha enjoyed sewing, doing crafts, baking, and reading the word of God. She especially cherished time with her grandchildren—swimming, visiting Disneyland, and sharing moments that became treasured memories. She also delighted in watching her great-grandchildren, Adrian and Liliana, play. Her family loved her “empanadas,” a beloved taste of home and tradition.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Manuela Jacobo; her daughter, Cynthia Romero; her husband, Jaime Romero; her sisters, Gloria Rios, Josie Baca, Esperanza Rosales, Magdalena Salgado, Petra Nieto; and her brothers, Salvador and Jesus Jacobo.
She is survived by her daughter, Norma Jean Mendoza; son-in-law, Albert Mendoza; grandchildren: Amelia, Cynthia, Vincent and his wife Alexis, as well as her great-grandchildren, Liliana and Adrian.
A Memorial Service will be held on May 14, 2026, from 1:00 pm-2:00pm at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home, 1111 Military Pkwy, Mesquite, TX. 75149 and an inurnment will be held afterward on May 14, 2026, from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm at Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy
