Deborah Jo Teel

Debbie Morris Teel, age 72, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. She was born on October 31, 1948, in Corsicana, TX to Henry Weldon and Myrta Mae Morris. Debbie was raised in Corsicana and graduated from Corsicana High School. She married the love of her life, Jerry Teel, in 1973 and has two daughters, Melissa Zimmerman, and Debbie Jones.

Debbie worked for the Mesquite ISD for 26 years as an administrative assistant. She loved her work family especially on her birthday. Her friends called her “Queen” and surrounded her with love.

Debbie enjoyed wearing costume jewelry to match every outfit. She was funny, silly, and ever so witty. She also enjoyed shopping, celebrating the holidays, lunching with the ladies, reading the comic section in the paper, and being with her family. She was the happiest at family gatherings. Her love for her grandchildren was monumental.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Jerry Teel, of Mesquite, Texas; daughters, Melissa Zimmerman and husband Bret of Southlake, TX; Debbie Jones and husband Jeff of Wylie, Texas; grandchildren Zach Jones, Braylon, Brooklyn, and Roxy Zimmerman; sister, Kim Bowen; brother, Hal Morris; several nieces and nephews and a host of loving family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held, September 18th from 2:00pm – 4:00 pm at 1737 Lake Breeze Drive, Rockwall, TX 75087.
