It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ernest "Ernie" Giles Beasley, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Ernie was called home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2025. He was born on June 17, 1952, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Beasley and mother Flora Lea Beasley. Survived by sisters, Jennifer Selbig and husband Norman; Tricia Enriquez and husband Louis; Shannon Chapa and husband Joe; Sons Curt Beasley and wife Rosana, Kenny Beasley and wife Jennifer; his best friend, Paula Jones; and Paw Paw to his loving grandchildren, Caitlin, Drew, Peyton, Liam, Luke, Jordan, Caroline, Blake, Maggie along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Ernie graduated from Holmes High School, San Antonio, Texas in 1970 and was a member the Huskies varsity football team, proudly wearing the number 55. He went on to have a successful career of 40 years at Pollock Paper where he retired after passing along all his wise wisdom and knowledge to his co-workers. After two years of retirement and needing something to do, Ernie found a new work family at Complete Supply to continue his mentorship with new co-workers. Ernie loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed living life to the fullest. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed hunting with his sons, grandsons and good friend Philip Petty. If you ask anyone that knew Ernie, they will tell you he was one of the “Great Ones”, or as someone said, he was everyone’s Superman. He will be missed tremendously but his memories will remain in our hearts forever.
