Ester Sosa Ramirez

Ester met Arturo Ramirez in 1957. They were married on September 19, 1958 in Dallas, Texas and together they raised 4 children: Patrick Portillo, Anita "Cathy" Ramirez, Cynthia "Angie" Ramirez and Julia Parra.

Ester worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Office of Civil Rights where she organized the Toys For Tots Toy Drive every year and retired after many years of service in 1997.

Ester was preceded in death by her parents, Catarina and Jose Juan Sosa, sister Angelina Cervantes, Julia Rendon and brothers Manuel Sosa and Johnny Sosa and his wife Lenore.

Ester is survived by husband; Arturo Ramirez, son Patrick Portillo and wife Susan Portillo, daughters Anita "Cathy" Ramirez, Cynthia "Angie" Ramirez and Jo Hamsher and Julia Parra, grandsons Victor Ramirez, Nicholas Mestas and Arturo Parra and wife Karina, granddaughters Genevieve Goulding, Mercedes Ramirez, and Sara Seat and husband Jason, and great grandchildren Tyler Mestas, Cody Parra, Harley Parra, Max Seat, Ryleigh Seat, Nolan Parra and Eugene Goulding.

Visitation will be held on Sunday October 19th from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM with the Rosary to be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Anderson Clayton Gonzalez Funeral Home.

Mass will be held on Monday October 20th from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM with a reception to follow between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM at St. Bernard Catholic Church.

Committal will follow at the DFW National Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
