Gary Dale Hughes

Gary was born in Fort Worth, Texas on June 17, 1945, to William Vernon Hughes and Jimmie Louise Swanner. He graduated from Odessa High School and continued to receive a BBA from the University of North Texas. Gary was married to Suzanne on April 15, 1991; they were married 34 years.

Gary worked as a salesman for Washmon Sales Group for 43 years. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. He was also actively involved in the Marine Corp League and the Color Guard.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, William Jack Hughes.

Gary is survived by his wife, Suzanne Hughes; sister, Kay Meurer; son, Zack Hughes; daughter, Jaime Crews and her husband, Brent; daughter, Heather Hughes; daughter, Yvette Albritton; Five grandchildren, Jackson, Austin, Billy, Jessica, and Tommy; Two great-grandchildren, Gage and Ryder. Many nieces and nephews, along with many other family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 4-6pm at Anderson Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in the same location the same day from 6-8pm. Burial will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 10-12pm, at DFW National Cemetery.
