Born August 9, 1943 in Dallas, Texas and went home to meet the Lord on June 30, 2021 at the age of 77 in Rowlett, Texas. He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Joanne Shipp, and numerous other family members and friends. Gene is survived by his son Daryl Shipp and wife Natalie Stamper, daughter Jennifer Rogers and husband Matt, son Brett Shipp and wife Melissa, 4 grandchildren Riley Rogers, Rhett Rogers, Harrison Stamper and Hayden Stamper, brother Clifton Shipp, sister Bessie Mae and numerous other family members and friends, including his church family at Redeemer Bible Church.
