Bernadette is survived by her husband Robert (Bob) and son Blake; sisters Mary Rhedah Ingram and Elizabeth (Terry) Gerhart, brothers Martin Herschel (Barbara) Ingram and Michael Dane Ingram, sisters-in-law Karen (Michael) Lantz and Nancy Stephenson, and many loved nieces & nephews, and extended family. She is preceded in death by her father M. Herschel Ingram, Jr. and mother Rhedah Kirkland Ingram, and one brother Paul Wayne Ingram (Nancy).
Born in Dallas, Texas on February 28, 1958, she grew up in Houston, Texas and went on to graduate from the University of North Texas. She began a career in banking in Dallas and later met her husband Bob. They married in 1997 and welcomed their son Blake. Bernadette became a home-based mother and began working in the monogramming business. In 2007 she founded her own company Sew-B-It Custom Monogramming. From that time until she discontinued business in 2018, she met many wonderful customers and friends. She would still say that time in her career was her favorite.
After retiring, she loved spending holiday s and other times with her sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and wide circle of friends. "Bernie" to some and "Aunt Bernie" to others, was usually in the center of activity. She was also very fond of her bible study groups and deep friendships. Bernadette always expressed thankfulness for the endless love, support and prayers from her community through the years.
Pastor Andy Roberts will lead us in a Celebration of Life to be held at 1pm, September 19 at Lake Highlands United Methodist Church, located at 9015 Plano Road, Dallas Texas.
In lieu of flowers, feel free to make a donation in Bernadette's name to either Lake Highlands United Methodist Church or to the Three Oaks Hospice Foundation.
