Jerry Dean Reid

He was born July 11, 1939, in Star Texas to Raymond and Joyce Reid. He graduated from Killeen High School in 1957. He married Linda Reid in 1963 in Mesquite, Texas. He was a store manager of Skillerns Drug Store for 15 years and in 1977 he co-founded The Saleplace, which he was actively involved until his passing.

He served in the Army Reserves for 6 years.

Jerry had a passion for traveling the world and visited many places such as Russia, Israel, South America, and Iceland. He loved spending time with family and attending the grandkids concerts and sporting events. He had a special talent for starting and running successful businesses. When the kids were young, he was highly active in the pee wee football organization Raiders, serving as a coach and President.

Jerry will be remembered for his work ethic, kind heart, and generosity.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Linda Reid, parents Raymond and Joyce Reid, sister Linda Janelle and brother Sam Reid.

He is survived by daughter Teresa Hobbs and husband Frank, son Greg Reid and girlfriend Elma Berry, grandchildren Amanda Coleman and husband Derick, Mitchell, Jason, and Chloe Reid, and great grandchildren Dakota and Hannah Coleman, sister-in-law Shirley Reid, numerous nieces and nephews, and companion Dulcinea Odom.
