Jose Luis Gurrola

Luis met and married Rosa Gurrola Moreno in El Paso. They lived there until the 1900’s then moved to Mesquite, Texas where he taught in the Dallas Public School System. Luis and Rosa have a daughter Abixag and grandkids Rose, Abby & Mario Ortega.

Luis was preceded in death by his cherished parents Jesus Gurrola, Sr. and Socorro Gurrola, as well as Efren Gurrola, Martha Gallegos, Oscar Gurrola and his beloved brother Jesus Gurrola (Chuy). He is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren as well as sisters Maria Elena Michaels, Lilia Segura, brother Juan Manuel Gurrola and many nieces and nephews.

Luis, you will forever be in our hearts. We miss you, but we know how joyful you are now with the rest of our family in heaven!

A visitation for Jose will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home, 1111 Military Parkway, Mesquite, Texas 75149. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home.
