Jose Rosario Santomauro

Jose Rosario Santomauro, age 78, entered into rest on September 23, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. He entered into life on January 2, 1943 in Montevideo, Uruguay SA to Rosario Santomauro and Ester Santomauro Lehmann. Jose was raised in El Buceo-Montevideo Uruguay SA and attended Liceo Julio Cesar in 1960.

He served in the United States Army as Private First Class and in Vietnam for four years.

Jose married Deborah in 1979 and the couple had three children. He worked as a carpenter for more than twelve years.

In his spare time Jose enjoyed cooking, babysitting, and being with family and friends.

His family and friends will always remember him as a person who loved to meet people, talking and enjoying their company, singing arias to anyone and everyone, cooking and watching folks enjoying the dishes he created for them.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rosario and Ester; brother, Pabloe Santomauro; and his ex-wife, Coromoto De Leon Santomauro.

Jose is survived by his wife, Deborah; brother, Alejandro Santomauro (Rosanna); sons, Ariel, Max, Aldo, and Ernesto (Yubisay); daughters, Tania (Jose Gergorio Ascano) and Monica (Guiseppe Cassara); grandchildren, Mario, Claudia, Joshua, Mauricio, Jonathan, Adrian, and Gianni; four nieces, a nephew, and several cousins in California and Montevideo Uruguay SA.
