A pillar of strength and love, Julia was the matriarch of her family—a role she carried with grace and wisdom. She will always be remembered for her strength, bravery, gentleness, and independence. She was a rock for all who knew her, offering unwavering support and unconditional love.
Julia is reunited in heaven with her parents, Jesusa Nieto and Lorenzo Castillo; her sister, Petra Deleon; her brothers, Miguel Ovalle and Pete Castillo; and her grandson, Estevan Almanza.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her daughters, Julia Mendez and husband Carlos, Sylvia Martinez, and Betty E. Cabrera; her sons, Albert Gonzales Jr. and Richard Gonzales; her 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and dear friends.
