Kelli Leigh Hauerwas

Kelli was raised in Balch Springs, Texas and graduated from West Mesquite High School and Navarro College with an Associates degree.

She married Weldon (Donny) Hauerwas on February 14, 1998 and they had two daughters, Karsyn and Kyndal.

Kelli enjoyed being with family and playing games. She also enjoyed drill team and dance in her younger years. Joining peewee drill at age 6, and going on to participate in high school drill team where she became captain. After high school she joined the Navarro Dance team where they went on to Nationals.

Kelli was a beautiful soul that touched many lives, never realizing how amazing she was to her family and friends.

Kelli was preceded in death by her father, Donald Joe Carter, Nawnie and Papaw, Vleta and Lenton Meek, Grandma, Jean Carter, sister-in-law, Amber Carter and aunt, Linda Meek.

She is survived by her husband, Donny Hauerwas, daughters Karsyn and Kyndal Hauerwas, mother and stepfather, Cheryl and David Shipley, brothers, Kasey Carter, Chris Shipley and wife Finney, Clint Shipley and wife Sharla, Darren Shipley and sister, Tracy Felmet and husband Chad; in-laws, Suzanne Vickers, Bill and Beverly Hauerwas, sister-in-laws, Janice Viola and Shadara Nix, aunts and uncles, Mari and Terry Hillger, Judy Carter and Donna Carter as well as several nephews and many cousins.
