Ladonna Cartreera Nolasco

LaDonna Cartreera Nolasco, also known as “LD” was born April 28,1956 in Dallas, Texas. She was the oldest of 3 children, to the parents of Cartyleau Sims and Mary Louise Bynum- Alvarez. She received her high school diploma from L. V. Berkner, and later through online courses at ICS Computer Training received an associate degree.

LaDonna, worked for KeyBank in Loan Accounting. Then she went on to work for Marquess & Associates in Accounts Payable. To her most recent position at Walmart as a cashier until she retired. Ladonna’s faith was strong, and she attended New Life Church until the pandemic in which she watched the services online.

LaDonna, she also loved music and had a large collection of vinyl records. But what she loved the most was Disney movies which she also had a large collection of. Her favorite sport was football, and she was a diehard Cowboys fan. She was easy to talk to when you needed a listening ear or advice on life. Everyone that had crossed her path would feel as though they had known her for years. She will dearly be missed by all who have encountered her.

LaDonna was preceded in death her parents Cartyleau Sims and Mary Louise Byrum- Alvarez, Stepmother Rosetta Sims, Stepfather John Alvarez, Sister Gwendolyn Gaines and Brother Ronald Sims. She leaves to cherish her memory: her stepsister Garilynn Dickson, her daughters Timika and Shana Sims-Garcia, Teilia and Trabian Greer, her son Christopher Mack, Niece Dr. Erica Dickson and Chris Welch, Nephew Demond Sims, great nephews Jacob and Chadwick Welch, 5 Grandchildren, Gabriella and Gabriel Greer, Richard, Robert and Reggean Garcia, and 2 Great-Grandchildren McKennley Garcia Spencer and Oceann Dunn Garcia; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends who dearly loved her.
