Maria de la Luz Malacara

Maria was born on April 21, 1970, in Tamaulipas, Mexico. She was a loving and caring woman who dedicated her life to her family. She was known for her kind heart, selflessness, and willingness to always help others.

Maria found joy in cooking, doing crafts, and spending time with the people she loved. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her laughter, her silliness, and the love she shared with everyone around her.

Her greatest joy was being a mother to her four children, Jose Juan Malacara Jr., Cynthia Malacara, Anthony Lee Malacara, and Leo Alexander Malacara, and a grandmother to Emily Soto, Fabian Soto, Joseph Soto, Elijah Malacara, Jacob Soto, Eliana Malacara and Estella Malacara. Her family was her world and the love she gave them will continue to life on.

Maria is also survived by her siblings, Maria Garza, Paula Alejandra Torres, Maria Guadalupe Torres, Michelle Torres, Tania Rodriguez, Dalia Arroyo, Guillermo Pedroza and Alma Torres, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Juanita Alba Torres and Juan Torres, whom she has now joined in Heaven.

Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the love, memories, and lessons she left behind. She will forever remain in our hearts and will never be forgotten.

Services will be held at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home, 1111 Military Pkwy, Mesquite, Texas 75149. The viewing will take place on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Funeral Service will take place on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
