Michael Stidham

Michael Kevin Stidham, 68, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, in Rowlett, Texas. He was born on January 3, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri to Floyd Finis Stidham and Sarah Lavetta Quinn. Mike was raised in Kansas City, Missouri and moved to Mesquite, Texas with his family in 1969. He married Beth DeBerry and his daughter, Amy, was born in 1973. His relationship with the DeBerry family remained strong his entire life. He and his brother, Tom, got into the sheet metal business in the mid-seventies working in and around Dallas for the next 50 years. He and wife, Priscilla’s romance began in 1992 and would continue for the next 31 years.

Mike founded Stidham Sheet Metal in 2000, his shop in East Dallas is where you could find him, reading over plans, laying out projects and spending afternoons with all his friends. Mike had a passion for life, he spent several years training horses, taking trail rides and racing, and he found the winner’s circle on several occasions. Mike loved spending time outdoors riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing, playing golf and even cruising on Lake Ray Hubbard in his boat. Mike’s family and close friends will always remember him as a gentle giant, a loyal man with a paternal spirit.

He is preceded in death by his brother Robert Stidham and is survived by his wife, Priscilla Stidham, daughter Amy Diggs and Lonnie, stepdaughter Tanya Roper and Kirk, stepdaughter Tara Kenneth and Todd, stepson Thomas Stidham and Samantha, stepdaughter Jessica Bell and Cory, and grandson Dawson Butler as well as 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mike is also survived by his mother Sarah Stidham, brother Steve Stidham, brother Tom Stidham, sister Kim Stidham, sister Deanna Wells and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Michael will be held Friday, December 15, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home, 1111 Military Pkwy, Mesquite, Texas 75149 with the funeral service to follow starting at 10:30 AM. A graveside service will occur Friday, December 15, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Calvary Hill Memorial Park, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, Texas 75220.
