Went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 14, 2016. She was born on April 24, 1964 to Nicomedes and Mary Vigil in Amarillo, Texas. Michelle sat on the Mesquite City Council, was a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, coordinated the North Texas Food Bank, was awarded the VPP Star from OSHA, was a part of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls serving as Worth Advisor, and was a devout member of St Pius X in Dallas. Michelle worked as a safety officer for GE, and spent most of her career as a sales manager for broadcasting. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, knitting, shopping, and collected salt and pepper shakers. Most of all she enjoyed her family, all things Christmas, and praying the Divine Mercy. Michelle is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Vincent Palacio; daughters, Candice Dawn Palacio and Megan Alexandra Palacio; sisters, Irene Isabel Fitzsimmons and husband James, Sophie Ann Essary, Donna Marie and Michael Maestas, and Monica L. Vigil; dear friends, Cindy R. Devinney, Linda Gonzalez, Veronica and Eli Decena, and David Hale; and a host of other family and friends. She is preceded by her parents; brother, Nick Vigil; and infant son, Thomas Vincent Palacio. Visitation for Michelle will be held on May 22, 2016 from 4 -8 pm in the chapel of Sparkman Crane Funeral Home. Services will be held on May 23, 2016 at St Pius X at 11:00 am and interment will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas. A reception is to take place at Gonzalez in Mesquite after the burial. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
