Miguel Martinez Hernandez

Miguel Martinez Hernandez was born on October 10, 1920 to the late Atenogenes Martinez and Seferina Hernández, in Los Dias, San Felipe, Guanajuato, Mexico.

He married Juana Armenta on July 20,1940 and they had 1 son and 6 daughters. Miguel immigrated to the United States where he worked in agriculture work, carpenter, and construction worker. After retirement, he returned to Los Dias, where he enjoyed working in his expansive garden and making home improvements to his home. Miguel hosted many of his grandchildren for summer breaks over several years; they enjoyed helping with projects, going on day trips into town, and manning a little store. He returned to Dallas a few years ago and was being cared for by his daughters. He enjoyed his daily glass of wine and good food.

Miguel is preceded in death by his wife Juana, son Ramon, daughter Soccorro, son-in-law Guillermo Ibarra, and his sisters Consuelo and Santos. Miguel is survived by his daughters Irma Delgado and Ismael, Graciela Ibarra, Juanita Bernal and Jaime, Juana Maria Gonzalez and Eliseo, and Maria Carmen Ortiz and Gamaliel, son-in-law, Claudio Delgado, along with 35 Grandchildren, 93 Great-Grandchildren,16 Great-Great-Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with local, state, and federal government, including CDC directives, we ask everyone attending funeral services to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Miguel Martinez Hernandez de 100 años, falleció el 28 de Enero de 2021 en Dallas, TX rodeado de sus hijas y nietos. Nació el 10 de Octubre de 1920 en San Felipe, Guanajuato Mexico a Atenogenes Martinez y Seferina Hernandez.

Se casó con Juana Armenta el día 20 de Julio de 1940 y tuvieron un hijo y seis hijas. Miguel emigró a los Estados Unidos donde trabajó en agricultura, de carpintero, y en la construcción. Después de retirarse, se regresó al Rancho de Los Días, donde le gustaba trabajar en su huerta y hacerle arreglos a su casa. Por varios años Miguel recibió a muchos de sus nietos y nietas cuando tenían vacaciones de verano. Les encantaba ir al pueblo a diario, ayudarle con proyectos y con la tiendita, y salir de paseo. Miguel regresó a Dallas hace varios años, cuidado por sus hijas. Le encantaba su copita diaria de vino y buena comida.

Él es precedido en la muerte por su esposa Juana, hijo Ramon, hija Socorro, yerno Guillermo Ibarra y sus hermanas Consuelo y Santos. Le sobreviven sus hijas Irma Delgado y Ismael, Graciela Ibarra, Juanita Bernal y Jaime, Juana Maria Gonzalez y Eliseo, y Maria Carmen Ortiz y Gamaliel, yerno Claudio Delgado, junto a 35 nietos, 93 bisnietos, 16 tataranietos y numerosos sobrinos.
