

E. Mozell Campbell Ponder, born June 14, 1921 to Enos and Emma Floyd Campbell, died in her sleep on December 19, 2015. She was born and raised in Nathan, Arkansas, and married Aaron C. Ponder of Mineral Springs, Arkansas in 1939.
Mrs. Ponder (Granny) is survived by one son, Jerry of Weatherford, TX, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, six sisters an one brother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron, daughter Judy George, sons, Aaron, Jr., and Joel Ponder, a grandson, a great grandson, two brothers and a sister.
She was a devoted Christian, and with another couple, she and her husband started a Church of Christ in Milan, MI. Along with being a hard worker in church activities, she held many secular jobs, from inspecting hand grenades at Red River Arsenal to customer service at Sears, as well as with Kroger and Safeway in between, plus selling at Stanley Home Products.
As a family, the Ponders spent their early years in Texarkana, then moved to Milan, MI. After six years, and having enough of ice and snow they returned to Texas and lived in Mesquite until retirement. They then built a home at Big Wood Springs in Winnsboro, TX and spent his remaining years there. As a widow, she moved back to Mesquite until her daughter's death. She came to Weatherford, TX to be near her son for approximately ten years.
In lieu of other remembrances the family would appreciate donations given to charities of choice.
