Nancy Bess Jones

Nancy Bess Jones, age 83, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024 in Terrell, Texas. She was born on April 6, 1940 in Dallas, Texas to Wesley LeRoy Taylor and Lois Mae Taylor Jarnigan. Nancy was raised in Oak Cliff and graduated from Adamson High School, she then married John Edgar Jones Jr. in 1959 and the couple had four children. Nancy worked as an oil and gas accountant for CrossTex for more than 40 years.

In her spare time Nancy enjoyed crocheting, shooting her pistol at the Terrell Gun Range, skeet shooting, gardening, baking and decorating cakes. Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who also loved the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her husband, "Bill", brothers, Roy Taylor and Jimmy Jarnigan. Left to cherish her memory are her four children, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a sister and a host of extended family members.

A visitation for Nancy will be held Friday, March 1, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home, 1111 Military Pkwy, Mesquite, Texas 75149. A funeral service will occur Friday, March 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 1111 Military Pkwy, Mesquite, Texas 75149. A burial will occur Friday, March 1, 2024 at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park, 12649 Lake June Rd, Mesquite, Texas 75180.
