Olgia Lea Hardin passed away on January 8, 2019 in Amarillo, Texas. Lea was born on January 22, 1936 to John Noel Baker and James Nicholas “Jimmie” (English) Baker in Dallas, Texas. In June 1953, she graduated from Sunset High School, then attended North Texas State University. In May 1956, Lea met Joe Arthur Hardin, who proposed marriage on her birthday, January 22, 1957. They married April 5, 1957, spending the next 59 years together. Joe and Lea were members of the Church of Christ. Lea enjoyed camping, shopping, watching movies, and most of all, she enjoyed her family. She attended activities such as athletics, band, and other school events. Spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren brought her the greatest happiness. She was a generous, sweet, loving, caring, selfless woman, with a sense of humor that could light up the room. Caregivers have shared that they loved and appreciated her funny disposition. She retired after many years working as a secretary. Lea is survived by daughters, Jodie Lea Mannlin and husband Rodney Peter of Mesquite, Laurie Lynne Allen of Dallas, and Kellie Lorraine Trayler and husband Don Alan of Dumas; sister, Betty Jo Baker of Mesquite; brothers-in-law, James “Arnold” Hardin of Mesquite, and Lawrence (Larry) Jackson Calvert of Heath; grandchildren, Christopher Nicholas Hardin and Amber Maxwell of Midwest City, Ok., Richard “Alan” Trayler and Theresa Garcia of Durant, Ok., Patrick Ryan Mannlin of Mesquite, Tx., Rantz Arthur Trayler and wife Destyni of Guymon, Ok., Hunter Nicole Allen and Chad Robertson of Forreston, Tx., Keldon Ayrek Trayler of Guymon, Ok., and McKenzie Noelle Allen and Brandon Shaw of Scurry, Tx.; great grandchildren, Hadley Grace Hardin, and Cherokee Neoma Marie Robertson; precious nieces and nephews; and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, daughter, Mistie Hardin; brother, Weldon Wilson Baker; brother-in-law, Arvis Hoyle Hardin; sisters-in-law, Dealpha Hardin, Mary Nell Hardin Calvert, and Sibyl Rogers Hardin. Visitation is Monday, January 14th at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service is Tuesday, January 15th in the Chapel at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m., with burial at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
