Ralph Joseph Donnelly Jr.

He graduated from Bloom High School and joined the US Army Air Corps. He retired from the US Air Force following 20 years of service. He received a Silver Star for service in Vietnam. After his military retirement, he joined United Parcel Service as a regional safety manager. He remained with UPS until retiring in 1982.

He married Carol Jean Evers on October 18, 1957. They were together until her death in July 2013. He married Patricia Jean Jackson in November 2017. They were together until her death in January 2019.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ralph Joseph Donnelly III, his parents, five sisters, and a brother.

Ralph was active with AARP and SMU athletic hosting after his UPS retirement. He enjoyed playing golf until his late 80s. His greatest joy was being a grandfather and spending time with Erin, Kelly, and Todd.

He is survived by his daughter, Karen Pirrung, son-in-law Mark Pirrung; grandchildren Erin Shapiro, Kelly Pirrung, and Todd Pirrung; grandson-in-law Jacob Shapiro; great-grandchildren Zachary Shapiro and Nicholas Shapiro; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no funeral or memorial service.
