Russell was born in Wichita Falls Texas in 1984. He and his family moved to Mesquite TX in 1991. He went to MISD from grade school through high school. Being eager to start his adult life, he graduated a few months early with a GED in 2003.
He was always interested in the living creatures of earth and enjoyed helping animals in need. He spent a lot of time with his daughter Ember Elizabeth, showing her about nature and about the animals in their neighborhood. He was active with the trap and release for the cats and he was active with the rescue groups for injured raccoons and other animals that were in that area.
In 2022, Russell married Chelsea Langhorst. They were building a home in Athens, Texas, where he was teaching music. He became ill in 2023. He had a lengthy three-year illness that he fought valiantly against.
He leaves behind a wife, Chelsea Miller. Daughter Ember Elizabeth Miller, Mother, Teri Miller, and stepfather John Miller. He was greatly loved and will be sorely missed.
