Shirley Parker

Shirley Dean Parker went to be with her Lord January 16, 2015 at the age of 71. She was born September 11, 1943 in Tisha Mingo, Oklahoma to Dossie Lewis and Edna Sweet. She was the youngest of three girls. Shirley married Ralph Gene Parker at the young age of 13. Shortly after that they started their family in Balch Springs, TX. Together they had 5 children. Shirley also raised her granddaughter Michelle, as her own. Shirley loved gardening, crafting, attending kids and grandkids sporting events, and cooking enough food to feed an army. Later in life she loved spending her days with her great granddaughter Kaelynn, chatting w old friends on Facebook, and spending hours on Pinterest. Shirley found joy in the little things, like sitting on her porch listening to wind chimes. She was a home body, but loved going out for mani/pedis and lunch with her granddaughters. She also spent time caring for her elderly uncle, John B, who preceeded her in death. Shirley was also preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Ralph Gene Parker, son Ricky Parker and sister Barbara Lewis. She is survived by four children Gene Parker, Jr. & wife Carol, Lisa Parker Martin & husband George, Treisa Parker and Gary Parker & friend Lisa Baker; grandchildren Brock Parker, Josh Martin, Aime Martin Hadnot, Laci Parker Spencer, Misty Cozart Evans and Michelle Rorie; eight-teen great grandchildren; sister Dianna Lewis and numerous nieces & nephews.
