Sidney William King born February 20, 1936; left this earthly home on May 9, 2021 at age of 85. He was born in Farmersville, Texas to Archie Herbert and Mattie Opal King. Sidney attended and graduate from Farmersville High School. He joined the United States Marine Corp. and was a Dallas Police Officer. Eventually Sidney owned and operated The Palace, an old school pool hall in downtown Dallas, Texas. He married the love of his life, Georgia McKinney on March 2, 1958 and the couple had 63 years wonderful years together raising four beautiful children. Sidney was a member of Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church in Dallas, TX . In his free time, he enjoyed playing 42 and poker as well as visiting his friends in Farmersville.
Sidney is preceded in death by his parents; Archie Herbert and Mattie Opal, Daughter, Valory Elizabeth King Foster.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Georgia King; Children, Archie Lance King and wife Julie, Casey Corbin King and wife Lisa, Paige King Brown and husband Mike, Son-in-Law, Kerry Foster; grandchildren, John Travis Foster and Wife Gina, Kathryn Elizabeth Foster, Mattie Beatrice King, Jack Henry King, Corbin Cydney King, Maria Elisabeth King, Richard Edward King, Alexandria Jade King, Benjamin Tucker Brown, and Lillian Reese Down; and one great-grandchild, Christopher James King.
