Susan Brann Johnson, lovingly known as Mom, “Sissy,” and her most cherished title, Grandma, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, surrounded by family who prayed over her through her final moments. Born in Kerrville, Texas, raised in Dallas, and having lived in Piedmont, California, Susan lived a vibrant life in Rockwall, touching countless hearts with her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love. She was always classy, kind, and full of grace.
Susan attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas, forging lifelong friendships. She dedicated 27 years to The Chapman Group, working alongside lifelong friends Eloise and Tom. Her greatest joy was time with her grandchildren, Emily and Cooper, never missing a game or event. She cherished time with her family, gatherings with her Bunco Babes, and beach trips, especially to Lake Tahoe, where she found peace overlooking the water. With a heart of gold, Susan hosted parties and offered her home to anyone in need.
Susan’s commitment to service was profound, volunteering with numerous organizations, including the Rockwall Women’s League and Texas Valor Project, where she championed community and veterans’ causes. Susan raised her son, Chris, with integrity, honor for family, and love. As a grandmother, she was unmatched, filling Emily and Cooper’s lives with unconditional love, stories, and laughter. Her deep faith and radiant spirit left a legacy, and we find comfort knowing she’s dancing with Jesus, reunited with loved ones in heaven.
