Tomasa Castillo

Tomasa was born in Leon, Guanajato, Mexico on September 3, 1926 and passed away surrounded by her loving family in Dallas, Texas on October 2, 2015.

For as long as anyone can remember, Tomasa has been devoted, kind and loving. Especially when it came to caring for her family. She took care of her grandchildren for many years as they grew up, and she enjoyed every moment they spent together.

Her family meant so much to her throughout her life, even up until the day she passed away.

She is survived by her sisters Maria de Jesus-Moncada of Dallas, Texas and Carmen Bernal of Laredo, Texas as well as her brother Juan Ortiz of San Antonio, Texas. children Linda Varnon of Houston, Texas, Juan Castillo, Jr. of Dallas, Texas, Alfredo Castillo of Red Oak, Texas and Cindy Hartley (David) of Forney, Texas, as well as 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation will take place at Gonzalez Funeral Home in Mesquite, Texas on Wednesday, October 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM with a rosary service from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Services will be held at Gonzalez Funeral Home in Mesquite on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 10:00 AM.
