

Alfred Nicholas Clement passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving daughters,on Saturday, October 20, 2012. He was 80. Born and raised in New Orleans, he resided inPicayune, Mississippi since 1996 and formerly resided in Metairie. He was the beloved husbandof the late Joan David Clement for 53 years, and loving father of Sharon Clement Johnson (W.Matthew), Kathleen Clement Powajbo (Richard), and Carol Clement. He is also survived byseven grandchildren: William Johnson, Jr. (Marie), Cassie Clement, Melissa Johnson, SeanJohnson, Jillian Breaux, Jamie Breaux, and Jenny Breaux; one brother Harold Clement and threesisters, Pauline Fisher, Claire Haase (Rodney), and Mary Vila (George). He was predeceased indeath by his parents, Nicholas and Viola O’Dowd Clement, and a sister Rita Legendre.After graduating from Jesuit High School in New Orleans, Alfred served in the United States Navy from 1951-1955, on the U.S.S. Sandoval during the Korean War. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Tulane University in 1958 and went to work for New Orleans Public Service Inc., retiring in 1988 as Manager, Construction Budgets. Relatives and friends of the family and Entergy employees and retirees are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, LA on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. Visitation from noon to 2:00 pm, at which time the Funeral Mass
