Andrea was born in St Louis Missouri, and is a lifelong St. Louis Baseball Cardinals fan. She graduated from Rosati-Kain high school, then attended Truman State University where she obtained a BA in Journalism, became a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority. Andrea then obtained a MA in English from Eastern Illinois University.
Andrea then began her career in event marketing, and achieved great success on many programs that she worked on and was very proud of her work on several Super Bowls, NBA and MLB All Star Games and National Political Conventions. She started her own company and was able to consult on major events that happen not only in America but worldwide.
Andrea was an unbelievable friend and mentor to her colleagues and was most proud when she could connect people together through her vast work network. She had an uncanny ability to find the right connections for people and loved being the person to uplift someone else.
Andrea was an amazing friend and truly never met a stranger. She was a facilitator, a planner, an advisor for anyone she knew, and always made herself available to them. She was a voracious reader and would always have a recommendation of a book she just read and a supporter of the local library system.
Her indelible spirit, intelligence and sense of humor will leave a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Few people were aware that she was a philanthropist and at one time was selected to serve on the International Space Station, but was passed over due to “Politics”. She will have the last laugh though, as she was the North Star for so many people guiding them through life.
Andrea is survived by her loving partner, Denis J. Janis; her mother, Carol Ramsey and her siblings, Eric Ramsey and Kris Ramsey (Jana). Andrea was a loving aunt to her nephews: Walt, Abe, Ike, and Theo Ramsey.
A celebration of her life will be held at The Gatsby located at 2017 Chouteau Ave., St Louis Mo, 63103 on the evening of June 13th, 2026.
