

Ann Noel Poupart Cressy, a retired Medical Technologist died Sunday of Alzheimer’s Disease. She was two days shy of her 89th birthday. Mrs. Cressy was born in Gulfport, MS and lived in Long Beach, MS. She graduated as salutatorian of St. Joseph High School in Bay St. Louis, MS. She had a bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from Loyola University and a master’s degree in Health Care Administration from the University of St. Francis. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Long Beach and St. Mathew the Apostle Catholic Church in River Ridge, LA. She was a member of Pass Christian Yacht Club, where she served on the women’s auxiliary. She was also a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, The Four Fins, and Civil Air Patrol. During her retirement, Mrs. Cressy volunteered as a docent of Hermann-Grima House of New Orleans. She was a regular participant in the Crescent City Classic and an avid swimmer. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Louis Villere Cressy, Jr., and her precious granddaughter, Kendall Michelle Daigle. Survivors include one son, Louis Villere Cressy, III, J.D., and three daughters – Dr. Noel C. Lozes, Michelle C. Daigle, and Dr. Elizabeth Delpit Cressy and six grandchildren – Gretchen Lozes Fischer, Colin Lozes, Darby Cressy Aguirre, Taylor Michelle Daigle, Grant Develle, and Lee Develle – and two great-grandchildren – Mary Margaret Fischer and Henry Fischer. Mrs. Cressy was also survived by her longtime caregiver, companion, and friend, Amenta Ford. A Mass for her family was held on her 89th birthday, December 22, 2020. Interment, to which family and friends were invited, was held at 1:00 p.m., December 22, 2020, at Greenwood Cemetery.
