Anne "Maw Maw" Wade

Anne Marie Hilton Wade was born on July 28,1922, and entered into her eternal home in heaven on Monday, January 15, 2018. Although our hearts are aching, we rejoice for her in knowing she is enjoying her life’s reward.

Anne was reunited with her husband Clyde “Rusty” Wade, daughter Betty Wade Wilken, and grandson Luke Edward Wade along with her parents Hattie Harper and Wiley Harris Hilton, her siblings: Ruby Halley (husband JT Halley), Ruthy Svoren (husband Steve Svoren), Aline Autrey (husband C E Autrey) and Ferman Dan Hilton among other loved ones departed.

Her family to cherish her memories here on earth are: son Jim Wade and his wife Noel , daughter Debra “Debbie” Wade McLain and her husband Jim, and son- in- law Errol Wilken and his wife Carol. Anne, or Maw Maw as we all knew her, had five grandchildren: Chad (Lori) Wilken, Jamie Wade, Michael (Katie) McLain and Melissa (Gregg) McLain Thompson. She was blessed with seven great grandchildren: Connor, Sophie and Henry Wilken; Joshua and Molly McLain; Morgan and Kaegan Thompson. She has many loved ones in extended family, including her sister-in-law Linda Hilton who will cherish her memory.

Anne loved her Lord, her family, and her friends. She did not preach her faith; she lived her faith. She was a long time member at Metairie Baptist Church. Her steadfast faith gave her strength throughout her life. She was humble and so very kindhearted. Through the years, we have all learned so many of life lessons through her living and will be forever blessed to have had her in our lives.

A Memorial Service will take place at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana, 70006 on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Visitation with the family will begin at 11:00 am - 1:00 pm and a Memorial Service will start at 1:00 pm.
