Mr. Arthur "Mike" Escott

Arthur “Mike” Escott, age 76, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2011 in Shreveport, LA. Mr. Escott was a native of Shreveport, LA and was a resident of the New Orleans area for 43 years before returning to Shreveport after Hurricane Katrina. Beloved husband of the late Clarise “Sissy” Foltmer Escott. Former husband of Elyan Mergey and Ruth Escott Morales. Father of Diana Escott, Soyana Escott Jackson (husband, Steve Jackson, Sr.), Margaret “Peggy” Escott Hirschey (husband, Ben Hirschey, Jr.) and Michele Escott Briggs (husband, Jeff Briggs, Sr.) Stepfather of William Anderson (wife, Annie Anderson). Brother of Joseph Escott, Anita Fekany, Rose “Mimi” Plumb and Richard Escott. Son of the late Joseph A. Escott, Sr. and Florence Nasser Escott. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Escott was the founder of Daughters and Dad Printing, was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War and was a former member and officer of a V.F.W. post. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Friday, March 11, 2011 beginning at 11:00 AM with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
