Arthur "Artie" V. Robertson

Arthur “Artie” V. Robertson, 79, a lifelong resident of New Orleans passed away on June 24, 2025 at home from a long-term battle with cancer. He was born on November 18, 1945 in New Orleans, LA to Borland and Yvonne Robertson. He was married to his soulmate Linda Airhart of New Orleans for 53 years.

Arthur was a crane operator for most of his life. He loved to tell stories of all of the unique experiences he had in his career. He was a Mason, and a proud member of the IUOE Local 406 Operating Engineers Union. He was an Army veteran, serving his time in the service primarily in Germany during the Vietnam War.

He enjoyed camping and the outdoors, good food, and taking walks around his neighborhood to make small talk and watch the children play. He was an avid animal lover. Most of all he loved being “Grandpa” to his only grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents Borland and Yvonne Robertson, his brother Bobby Robertson, and his son Jake Robertson.

He is survived by his wife Linda Airhart Robertson, son and daughter-in-law Blake and Brandy Robertson, grandson Trace Arthur Robertson, sisters Leia Gale and Yvette Blancher, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Glen and Gail Airhart, and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA on Sunday July 13, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Cancer Society’s Prostate Cancer Research Fund or the New Orleans SPCA.
