Ashley Gautreau Mizell

On March 14, 2026, Ashley Gautreau Mizell passed away peacefully after her battle with cancer while surrounded by her family. She was a lifelong resident of LaPlace, Louisiana for 40 years. She was the beloved wife of Bobbie Joe Mizell and the loving mother of Lyeam, Myracle, and Shaelynn Mizell. She was the daughter of Anthony Gautreau Sr. and the late Laura Prejean Gautreau. She was the sister of Jennifer (Craig) Hebert, Dustin (Kelly) Gautreau, and Anthony Gautreau Jr. She also leaves behind her nieces, Heather Hebert, Amanda Hebert, and Kiya Gautreau, as well as her nephews, Connor Gautreau, Timothy Gautreau, Jace Richmond, and Damon Gautreau. She is also survived by extended family members, Debby Schumacher, Linda Corkern, Cynthia Bridges, and Daniel Schumacher.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana 70006, on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Following the services, cremation will take place per Ashley’s wishes.
