Bella Neff Davidson

Bella Neff Davidson entered into eternal rest with our Lord on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was 83. She leaves behind her husband of 64 years, Richard C. Davidson Jr.; her three sons, Richard Davidson, III (Michelle), Brett Davidson (Tanya), Donald Davidson (Denise) and a daughter, Debra LaBonia (Michael). She was preceded in death by her parents, Irene Wilkes and Ashton P. Neff. She also leaves behind her brothers, Hank and Richard Neff as well as her sister, Joycelyn Mitchell. She was greatly blessed to have 12 grandchildren who are Jennifer Ware, Jaime Crawley, Richie Davidson, Brett Davidson Jr., Bryant Davidson, Brennon Davidson, Brandon Sanderson, Allison Taylor, Ashley Lieux, Christopher LaBonia, Emily LaBonia and Haley LaBonia. She also leaves behind 17 great-grandchildren, whom she adored. She has many cousins, nieces and nephews as well.

She had a beautiful life, well-lived, and rarely missed an event that she was invited to attend. She retired from Bellsouth after many years of service. In her early years, she was a bowler who competed at the city, state and national levels for 30 years. She was the secretary of the Cleary Golden Age Club. She played cards with two different friend groups who met on Mondays and Thursdays at local restaurants. She was a member of the Sunsetters club, Funmakers club and Thursday Pepsi Cola club. She loved to attend Mardi Gras with her family. To know her was to love her, and she never met a stranger! Now our sweet matriarch can rest peacefully until we meet again.

Services for Bella will be at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Metairie on Thursday, September 19, 2024. Visitation begins at 10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:30 PM with burial in Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans, Louisiana.
